Jonathan Kee is a Family and Civil Solicitor with a breadth of experience across most of Scotland’s Courts and Tribunals. He has acted for clients in a number of complex circumstances and is always focused on obtaining the outcome that best suits them. He takes a direct approach with his advice and is always upfront and fully transparent. He has acted in cases involving financial disputes through divorce and separation, child contact and residence, parental rights and responsibilities, children’s hearings, fatal accident enquiries, guardianships, adoption, executries, wills, power of attorney, medical negligence, mental health tribunals and civil litigation disputes.
Through his career Jonathan has been involved in high profile cases which have helped to shape Family Law in Scotland.
When not working Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family. He likes to play golf, albeit not very well and follows boxing having been an amateur boxer in his youth. He also has an interest in cars and socialising with friends.
Ainslie is a Solicitor who specialises in family and civil law. She studied at the University of Strathclyde, where she completed her Bachelors of Law LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Legal Practice. Thereafter she went on to work in a small law firm before joining the team at Kee Solicitors in 2020.
She has a broad range of experience dealing with emotional and complex cases including divorce and separation, financial provision, contact actions and residence disputes. Ainslie has a proactive and honest approach with clients to ensure their interests are protected whilst helping them achieve a cost-effective and satisfactory outcome. Having appeared in Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland, she has experience in preparing and representing clients in many family and civil disputes. Her litigation experience paired with her negotiation and mediation techniques, as demonstrated by her Certificate of Completion in Legal Negotiation and Mediation with the John Marshall Law School, help to ensure that client’s receive a service which is tailored to them.
Out of the office Ainslie enjoys keeping fit and attending the gym in her free time as well as socialising with family and friends. She has volunteered in Kenya helping in schools and the local community which has encouraged her to help in her own local community. Ainslie enjoys travelling having visited Thailand, Africa, Dubai and America as well as many European countries. Following her travels, she has developed a love for Asian food and enjoys learning to cook meals of different cuisines.
Dawn is an experienced secretary who joined Kee Solicitors in 2019. She is an invaluable and highly capable member of the team. She has over 20 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary and PA. She is proficient in delivering the secretarial services required in a professional environment and ensures attention to detail providing the best of service for each and every client.
When not at her desk, Dawn enjoys travelling and exploring the UK, as well as reading and socialising with friends and family.
Isla is a Paralegal/Pre-Trainee Solicitor at the firm. She studied at the University of Strathclyde, where she completed her Bachelors of Law LLB (Hons) and Diploma in Legal Practice, before joining Kee Solicitors in 2021.
Having passed a course in the Fundamentals of Behavioural Psychology with distinction, Isla is an apt communicator and negotiator. She has an empathetic approach towards her work and values clear communication with clients and other Solicitors. She has a particular interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution having been a member of Strathclyde Mediation Society. Whilst at University Isla was also a member of the Mooting Society and Graduation Committee. She has always had the intention and ambition to progress a successful career in Family Law and has worked in a number law firms through her studies in order to obtain as much knowledge as possible to put to use for her clients.
Out of the office, Isla enjoys keeping fit and hillwalking with friends. She also enjoys cycling having worked as a mountain biking instructor in America. Besides exercise, Isla has has volunteered with Dementia UK and fundraised for SAMH. She also enjoys music having played the piano from a young age.
